Family Day at Long Rifles Special Exhibit
September 17 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Youth ages 13 to 17 will experience a tour of our special exhibit Long Rifles of the American Revolution with the guest curator John Kolar. This tour is designed to encourage young people to ask questions about the artifacts featured in this special exhibit. (Accompanying responsible adults are asked to refrain from asking questions to better allow the youth to connect with the information provided by Mr. Kolar.) This special tour will be approximately one hour in length with time allowed at the end for questions and discussion.
Tour times are limited to 25 people (adults and youth combined). When purchasing tickets, the responsible adult(s) should select the number of tickets to indicate how many youth will be in their party.
About guest curator John Kolar: John Kolar is an authority on the Pennsylvania Long Rifle and on the pivotal role that it played in winning America’s War for Independence. Guests will have the opportunity to meet John and to join him for a 45-minute private tour of the exhibit during which he will share his unique insights into this remarkable collection of 18th century rifles and accessories, the Lancaster County artisans who created them and the men who fought with them.CLICK HERE TO PURCHASE TICKETS
