Introductory English Country Dance Lessons
March 2 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Historic Rock Ford invites interested and energetic history lovers to join us in February and March as our Historic Dance troupe offers four free introductory English Country Dance lessons. English Country Dance (ECD) was popular in Great Britain and the United States in the 18th and early 19th centuries. It is a very pleasant and sociable dance experience; the pace varies from slow and elegant to lively and vigorous. These introductory lessons are intended for individuals having little or no ECD experience and are interested in volunteering at Historic Rock Ford as a member of the Historic Dance troupe. Historic Rock Ford dancer membership requirements will be emailed to enrollees prior to the first introductory lesson.
The dance lessons will be held on Thursdays, February 2, February 16, March 2 and March 16 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM on the first floor of the Historic Rock Ford Barn, 881 Rockford Road, Lancaster, PA 17602. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to inform that Historic Dance troupe of your attendance.
Attendees do not need to bring a partner, just a pleasant attitude! Please wear comfortable, clean soft-soled shoes to protect the floor and ordinary casual clothes (layers are good, as you can get warm). Bring a bottle of water, if you wish.
