Lecture Series: “Rescuing the Revolution” by David Price

Rock Ford Plantation will kick-off its 2018 lecture series by welcoming David Price who will be presenting a lecture based upon his book “Rescuing the Revolution.” His lecture will focus on the heroic feats of people less well known to history who remain the “unsung heroes” of the pivotal battles of Trenton and Princeton that took place from December 25, 1776 to January 3, 1777. Price’s book contains a chapter on Rock Ford’s General Edward hand. After the lecture, Price will have copies of his book available for purchase and signing.


David Price is an historical interpreter for the Friends of Washington Crossing Park and leads guided tours focused on the “Ten Crucial Days” of the American Revolution and other historical aspects of Washington Crossing Historic Park. He is a member of the Crossroads of the American Revolution Association, the Museum of the American Revolution, the Old Barracks Association, and the Princeton Battlefield Society. Price is a magna cum laude graduate of Drew University and holds an M.A. in political science from Rutgers University – New Brunswick, where he was an Eagleton Fellow. He worked as a nonpartisan research analyst in the Office of Legislative Services of the New Jersey State Legislature for 31 years. He currently lives in Lawrence Township, NJ.

This lecture will take place in the Rock Ford Barn. Reservations are not required, but seating is limited.

Admission: $5 for non-members and free for members of the Rock Ford Foundation (upon showing valid membership ID card)
